Medical/Dental Facility Cleaning Checklist

          It is Important for any Medical/Dental Practice Facility to be Sanitary and Cleaned Thoroughly. The following contains a Checklist of what we would provide to make sure we don’t overlook when Cleaning and Sanitizing, as well as how often each task should be done. At the end of the day, it is important to have your Facility in good shape, and that the space itself feels clean and cared for.


Daily & Weekly Cleaning
  • Regularly clean the surfaces inside the facility in all areas including the Waiting area/Lobby, the Examination/Lab rooms, Personal Offices, and Nurses Station by wiping down Counters, desks, cabinets, shelves, any Partitions, tables, Chairs, Computers, Equipment, etc. with a hospital-grade disinfectant solution that can kill broad-spectrum bacteria.
  • Clean and sanitize all Entrance/Exit doors, wipe all handles, any plates, and Clean any Door Glass of Smudges or fingerprints.
  • Clean and wipe any interior glass partitions of smudges or spots with disinfectants.
  • Kitchen/Break room should have sinks, counter-tops, cabinets, light switches, door knobs, etc. cleaned and disinfected. Clean the inside and outside of the microwave, Dust and clean exterior of Refrigerator, Vending, Coffee Makers, etc.
  • In Lab/Examining rooms Wipe down and Sanitize the exam beds/tables, counters, sinks, any furniture, chairs, doors and door handles—anywhere patients have touched—with disinfectant.
  • Clean around Trashcan areas removing any spills/spots on walls and floors, Empty the trashcans, Replace Liners, and take trash to designated area or dumpster.
  • In Bathrooms Scrub and disinfect from top to bottom any/all Toilets, Urinals, Counter-tops, Sinks, any Stall walls and doors. Disinfect all handrails, all Door handles and plates, Partitions, Light switches, etc. Wipe and Clean mirrors, tile walls, partitions, dispensers, etc. of any streaks or fingerprints and with disinfectant cloths. Sweep the floor and then mop with germicidal cleaner.
  • In all Rooms/Areas the Hard/Resilient flooring should be Swept and mopped with disinfectant. Vacuum any carpeted rooms, rugs or doormats.
Monthly
  • Wipe accessories and electronics such as telephones, computers, monitors and keyboards, Door knobs, Light switches, etc. with a microfiber cloth after spraying it with water or disinfectant spray. You can also use germicidal disinfectant wipes.
  • Dust door jambs and Windowsills, Vents, any Ledges, Corners of Walls, Blinds, etc.
  • Vacuum any Fabric Furniture and Damp Wipe any Leather/Vinyl Furniture.
Note: These are just Guidelines and You can modify the Cleaning Schedule and Tasks according to Your Building Needs.
